The West Camp 2 project is a planned wind energy and battery storage facility in Navajo County, Arizona, that would generate up to 500 MW of electricity. The project area is located almost entirely on private property in a remote location five miles south of Holbrook, with a small portion of project infrastructure planned on State Trust lands.*
Fall 2025
West Camp 2 is applying for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility from the Arizona Corporation Commission and approval from Navajo County to construct and operate the project. Before application submittal, AES will host two public meetings on the project to engage with the local community and answer questions. More information will be posted soon to local news outlets and neighbors of the project.
