Powered land solutions

The unprecedented speed and scale of load growth require tailored energy solutions to maintain a reliable, affordable and flexible power system to power the industries of the future. AES transforms strategically located land into power-ready sites for hyperscale data centers, industrial facilities, and other large-load customers. By combining secured, title-cured land and interconnection opportunities with options for pairing renewables, energy storage, and natural gas, we offer flexible development models that accelerate time-to-power while reducing development risk.

Development-ready sites built to power growth

AES delivers tailored solutions that include land and grid load interconnection, either standalone or generation-enabled through co-location or commercial pairing. Backed by a long history of development, permitting and interconnection expertise, we secure the land, enable the infrastructure, and add generation where it accelerates deliverability, reducing customer risk and simplifying development.

  • Accelerates time-to-power
  • Reduces development complexity and risk
  • Reliable, low-carbon power from day one for gigawatt-scale loads
  • Flexible models from Standalone load, commercially paired, to co-location options

Powered land in action

In Wilbarger County, Texas, AES is using its development expertise to help power a Google data center campus with new renewable energy resources. AES worked together with Google and the local community to develop new energy generation co-located with land and grid interconnection. By bringing its own clean power, this approach ensured the data center did not add stress to existing infrastructure, while enhancing reliability and delivering meaningful economic benefits to the region.

These facilities will provide:

  • Jobs during construction and through operations
  • Local revenue to support schools and services
  • Economic stimulus during construction
  • Infrastructure upgrades that strengthen the local power grid
