LOW-DENSITY, CLEAN SOLAR ELECTRICITY PRODUCTION FOR ANDERSON COUNTY
We believe in being a good neighbor, ensuring responsible clean energy development that creates long-term value and positive impact for both the environment and local communities without burdening existing infrastructure.
Economic and environmental benefits
The project is expected to generate substantial economic and environmental benefits for local communities and the region.
Project details
- Located on 190 acres of approximately 640 acres of agricultural and timbered land under lease.
- In excess of 450 acres of open space that accommodate environmental setbacks from identified wetlands and enhance visual buffering where needed.
- The location was chosen due to its proximity to existing Duke Energy transmission lines which cross the site. All solar electricity produced will be delivered to Duke Energy to help meet renewable energy goals and help control energy costs for customers.
