James Marshall is the President of AES US Renewables & Power. Prior to this role, James served as Chief Financial Officer of AES Clean Energy where he played a central role in scaling the business and leading capital strategy through a period of significant expansion. 

Since joining AES in 2007, James has excelled in variety of roles, including leading M&A transactions, raising capital, corporate governance activities and establishing risk management frameworks across the AES portfolio in the United States. 

Prior to joining AES, he provided advisory services to a variety of clients at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a global audit, tax and advisory firm.

James holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and earned an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
