Distribution Planning Internship is available for the Summer of 2027.
Distribution Planning is responsible for evaluating the current state of the electric distribution network, forecasting future system needs, and developing grid solutions that maintain safe, reliable service in both the near term and long term.
As an intern in this organization you will:
Responsibilities
Perform Load Flow and Short Circuit analysis
Identify system constraints and risks
Work with staff engineers to perform complex studies including new load and distributed energy resources
Develop solutions to needs on system
Desired Qualifications
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Ability to work multiple non-contiguous co-op sessions
Previous work experience (Engineering preferred)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proven leadership experience
Excellent time management
Electrical Engineering preferred
