Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

The FP&A Associate will provide wholistic financial management of  a portfolio of ~1GW of thermal and Utility scale renewable power plants in operations. 

  • Wholistic financial management includes monthly performance review, monthly forecasting of EBITDA and earnings, annual budgeting, identifying financial risk and opportunities, working with asset management and operations leaders to optimize financial performance 

  • Support lender and tax equity relationship and reporting

Candidates need excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills, along with patience, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a demanding team environment.  They should also possess the following competencies: 

  • Ability to coordinate different projects cross functional. Influence without direct authority 

  • Good communicator, able to tell business driver stories from the numbers 

  • Good analytical and time management skills 

  • Bring strong attention to detail and ability to zoom out and see the big picture 

  • Proven ability to produce high quality work and meet deadlines 

  •  

Has experience moving multiple projects forward and juggling competing priorities  

 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years’ experience in preparing and coordinating budgets, forecasts, and related reporting. 

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including experience with financial reporting, forecasting and analysis across the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows. 

  • Ability to work effectively with accounting systems, SAP, BPC, Anaplan or similar 

  • Experience building 3 statement financial models from scratch 

  • Has experience with financial oversight for renewable power plants or  thermal power plant. Coal power plant experience is a plus 

  • Fluent in English (required); proficiency in Spanish is a plus 

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or a relevant field   

 

Location: Arlington, Colorado or Salt Lake City. Eligible for relocation.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $103.000 and $128.350/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
