The Operations Analyst will support the IT Infrastructure and Workplace Experience teams by focusing on vulnerability management for servers and PCs, monitoring server health using tools such as SolarWinds, ensuring infrastructure asset accuracy in ServiceNow, and assisting with Application Portfolio Management (APM) processes. This role also involves maintaining IT policies, SOPs, guides, and tracking KPIs to ensure compliance and operational excellence. This role also involves data analysis, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making
Key Responsibilities
Vulnerability Management (Servers & PCs) - coordinate with infrastructure, application, cyber security, and vendor teams to resolve issues
Collaborate with OT, cybersecurity, networking, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and reliable operations
Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes with heightened focus on operational risk
Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and storm restoration activities
Support asset inventory accuracy (CMDB hygiene) and tag assets to business services/applications/owners.
Assist in Managing IT and business systems projects
Assist in developing and maintaining IT policies, SOPs, and reference guides to ensure consistent, secure, and compliant technology practices.
Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve workflow efficiency.
Work closely with management to implement process improvements and track their outcomes.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity in operational reporting systems.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in IT operations, systems analysis, service management, or operational analytics (internships or co-op experience acceptable).
Experience working in a Microsoft-based enterprise environment, including:
Microsoft 365 and Azure (identity, devices, or security concepts)
Endpoint or security management tools such as Intune and Microsoft Defender
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical data into actionable insights.
Experience creating reports, dashboards, or KPIs using Power BI, Excel, or similar analytics tools.
Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms such as ServiceNow (incident, problem, change, or request data).
Understanding of IT operational metrics (e.g., incident trends, SLA performance, asset utilization, endpoint health).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills.
Team-oriented and adaptable in cross-functional and fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with:
Power BI data modeling, DAX, or Power Query
ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, or workflow analysis
Exposure to:
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Microsoft Defender reporting
Endpoint compliance, device lifecycle management, or security posture reporting
Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Power Automate, or similar).
Understanding of ITIL concepts (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset Management).
Experience supporting or analyzing data for infrastructure, security, or endpoint operations teams.
Microsoft or ITSM-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Fundamentals, ITIL Foundation).
Work Environment
Typical office environment (onsite or hybrid options available).
Occasional travel may be required, depending on project needs.
