Title: Accounts Payable, Senior Accountant

Location: Indianapolis, IN

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts detailed reviews of AP reconciliations to ensure a timely and accurate clearing of transactions. Verifies that all AP entries and corrections are processed and recorded in compliance with company deadlines and standards. Monitors accrual processes, recommends enhancements, and trains end users to align with company policies and procedures. Collaborates with the Center of Excellence (COE) team to identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements. Serves as the subject matter expert for Accounts Payable in cross-functional projects involving AP operations. Delivers training to internal stakeholders on AP processes, systems (SAP, Ariba, Concur), and corporate policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Actively participates in the monthly AP close, working closely with other Finance teams to ensure a timely and accurate accounting close. Prepares and posts correcting journal entries as needed. Responds to inquiries from suppliers and internal departments regarding payment status and system-related issues, providing prompt and effective resolution. Monitors employee expense report submissions and offers guidance on Concur procedures to ensure policy compliance and timely processing. Reconciles check payments and ensure timely correction of discrepancies. Supports the end-to-end check payment process and leads Treasury/AP-related projects. Supports both internal and external audits, acting as the primary coordinator for external audit requests and documentation. Manages annual IRS 1099 and 1042 reporting, as well as Unclaimed Property filings, ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Job requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field and 5 years of experience in any occupation involving accounts payable or a related field.

Job requires experience in each of the following:

5 years of experience in each of the following: SAP Expertise: Proficient in SAP across different environments (quality and production), with hands-on experience in modules related to Payments, Accounting, and Supply Chain. Skilled in key transactions and ReadSoft integration for invoice processing. Process Improvement & Reporting: Involved in process improvement initiatives and reporting through Power BI (PBI), with the ability to analyze trends and identify actionable insights. Audit & Compliance: Skilled in establishing and managing relationships with internal and external auditors. Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. Accounting & Compliance: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes within a multinational company framework.

Three years of experience in Tax Reporting: Experience in managing IRS 1099 and 1042 annual filings, with an understanding of federal and state tax reporting requirements.

Two years of experience in each of the following: Ariba Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Ariba modules including Ariba Buying and Ariba Invoicing, with practical experience in their integration and interaction with SAP systems. ServiceNow Proficiency: Experienced in using ServiceNow for ticketing, issue tracking, and workflow management across various business functions. Unclaimed Property Management: Experienced in managing the escheatment process and demonstrating deep knowledge of state-specific Unclaimed Property regulations and compliance procedures.

One year of experience in Concur: Proficient in using Concur Solutions for travel and expense management, including policy compliance and report auditing
