In November 2022, St. Nikola wind farm generated 50% more energy M/M

Last month, AES’ TPP in Galabovo provided 173% more energy for Bulgarian consumers compared to October 2022

In November 2022, St. Nikola Wind Farm generated 50% more green energy compared to October 2022. Last month, the wind farm produced 30 554 MWh, compared to 20 484 MWh in October 2022.

For the above-mentioned period, the most advanced coal-fired TPP in Southeastern Europe - AES’ TPP in Galabovо, provided 173% more energy to Bulgarian consumers compared to the output in October. In November, the power plant produced 307 814 MWh against 112 790 MWh a month earlier.

In November, the energy produced by AES Bulgaria’s two generation capacities satisfied the consumption of about 1 million Bulgarian households. This amount of power represents around 11% of the total energy consumed in Bulgaria last month. This proves once again the essential role the newest coal-fired TPP in Bulgaria and the largest wind farm St. Nikola play for Bulgaria’s energy stability.
