Lisa unites our utilities, clean energy solutions and generation businesses to accelerate a greener, smarter energy future for our US customers. In 2020, under her leadership, Indianapolis Power & Light announced plans to retire nearly 40% of its coal-fired generation capacity by 2023 and replace it with renewable resources and to invest $1.2B in the modernization of its transmission and distribution network. At Dayton Power & Light, after a decade long effort, plans to modernize the transmission and distribution network are under construction. For all of our US customers, including our more than 1 million US utility customers, Lisa is leading our teams efforts to ensure our vision that all customers experience seamless, personalized and innovative energy services powered by transformative technologies.

Prior to joining AES, Lisa served as President and CEO of Essential Power, a merchant generation company, where she led the company’s financial turnaround by rebuilding the commercial and risk teams. Lisa was part of the executive team that propelled First Solar to its successful IPO and growth, by leading the company’s international and domestic business development efforts and spearheading the company’s Cradle to Cradle (C2C) sustainability view, leading to the development of the industry ground-breaking module collection and recycling program. She brings over 11 years of diverse utility experience from Dynegy and Illinois Power Company to inform our energy development, planning and operations, and environmental, health & safety. in our businesses today.

Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and master’s degree from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. Lisa and her husband Curt live in Phoenix with their handsome, but not always well-behaved, Rhodeisan Ridgeback, Bluu. Lisa loves spending time with her extended family, reading, traveling, taking Bluu for long walks and working every day to make the world a better place than she found it.
