MBAs at AES take on real roles immediately—experiencing challenging work and the opportunity to add value and make a difference right away.
AES started its MBA recruitment program in 2003. Today, we select outstanding MBA graduates each year from top-tier universities, like IMD in Switzerland, and Harvard and Georgetown in the US. These new hires take on real roles within the company immediately—such as Project Managers leading development or operational initiatives. As such, we look for candidates with a minimum of seven years in the energy sector and/or comparable experience in consulting and/or investment banking.
The learning culture that permeates AES ensures that those with high potential obtain global development opportunities. In addition, each MBA hire is mentored by an AES leader, through which our MBA graduates receive unique perspectives and insights into AES and the global power market.
MBA graduates enjoy many opportunities to develop a global network. Typically, careers begin with rotating global assignments for a two-year period followed by longer-term assignments that can take graduates from Kazakhstan to El Salvador to Indianapolis.
Throughout the year, we target a few top universities around the world to directly hire MBAs out of school. You are always welcome to submit your resume for consideration for these opportunities.
