Rich Santoroski is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. He joined AES in January 1999 to lead the management of Eastern Energy’s commodity position, later becoming Vice President, Risk Management and Vice President, Energy & Natural Resources.

Prior to AES, Rich held various engineering, trading and risk management positions at New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG), including leading the energy trading group.   

He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and earned an MBA and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.

Rich is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of New York.
