AES Bohemia, a combined heat and power cogeneration plant located 90 kilometers outside of Prague, produces both electricity and heat for local businesses and the more than 7,500 residents in the city of Sezimovo Usti.
The plant also has extensive water treatment facilities and supplies chilled water, drinking water, softened and filtered water, as well as compressed air, to local industry.
Apart from producing heat and electricity, and processing water, AES Bohemia also serves the local community through its social responsibility program. AES Bohemia provides financial support to local children’s sporting activities and sponsors the “Medvídata” (or bear cubs) children’s organization, which teaches children about how to help keep our forests and rivers clean.
