Wind

AES Wind Generation, formed in 2005, leverages AES' more than 25 years experience in originating,  financing, developing and managing power projects all over the world.  Today AES Wind Generation operates more than 1,700 MW of wind capacity in the U.S., China and Europe.

Solar

AES Solar was established in March 2008 as a joint venture between the AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) and Riverstone Holdings LLC. The company develops, owns and operates utility-scale solar power plants that are connected to the power grid and supply homes and businesses with clean, renewable energy. AES Solar has grown to become one of the leading global solar power producers, with presence in Europe, North America, and Asia.

Energy Storage

AES Energy Storage is the owner-operator of advanced storage projects that provide emissions-free capacity to improve the performance and reliability of today’s power grid. Emissions-free capacity is a fast and flexible power system resource, combining patented software, dynamic power control and storage technology.

Climate Solutions

AES is developing projects and technologies that reduce or offset greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions—primarily by capturing and destroying methane in a variety of forms before it reaches the atmosphere—creating attractive opportunities for AES while improving the environment in the process.
